The Aldgate District includes wineries near Aldgate, Heathfield, Bridgewater, Stirling in the Adelaide Hills Wine Region in South Australia. The rural service town and tourist centre of Aldgate is located 21 kilometres south-east of Adelaide. Aldgate is most famous for the Aldgate Pump located across the road from the Aldgate Pump Hotel. The pump was used for watering the bullock teams and horses that journeyed through the area on their way south to the Echunga goldfields.
