Stroud Wine District

The Stroud Wine District includes the area surrounding the charming country town of Stroud that boasts a host of wonderful attractions and facilities for many activities in the area. It is close to an array of spectacular National Parks including the world-famous, World Heritage listed - Barrington Tops area and Lake Glenbawn, which is the largest of the Upper Hunter recreational waterways. It is well renowned as the horse capital of Australia and there are more than 70 horse studs around the local area. It is also a good base for exploring all the delights of the Upper Hunter area including the splendid range of wineries that have an international reputation. The local area is also becoming very popular for vineyards, wineries and cellar doors in the Stroud Valley area.

The Great Lakes Region is divided into four districts for mapping and listing purposes: The local wine districts are: Stroud ; Foster Tuncurry ; Wootton and Bulahdelah.

Located just off the Buckett's Way in Stroud Road, just 7 km's north of Stroud. We specialise in estate grown, handpicked, quality Verdelho. It' s crisp, dry, fresh, fruity, flavoursome – & popular! There's more at the cellar door than just wine. Take in the art, sculpture, abundant Birdlife, sunny deck, fire pit, vines & more. We are fully wheelchair accessible & are dog friendly.
