The Berry Wine District, in the Shoalhaven Coast Region, includes the area surrounding the popular tourist township of Berry, which is also the centre of a rich dairy area. It also includes wineries near Nowra and in the Kangaroo Valley. The township of Berry is famous for its antiques, food, produce and craft shops and is located about 140 km south of Sydney, and about 15 km from Nowra and Gerringong. Berry has a delightful range of bed and breakfasts, farmstay, arts and crafts outlets, pubs, restaurants, cafes, gourmet local fresh food outlets and cellar doors. The nearby beaches and some of the best on the South Coast for swimming and surfing. The area also has outstanding nature reserves, bushwalking and is close to all the delights of Kangaroo Valley, Southern Highlands and far South Coast Regions.
