Wyong Wine District, NSW

The Wyong District lies in the Central Coast Wine Region in New South Wales about 92 km north of Sydney. Wyong is an excellent base and gateway to explore the magnificent Tuggerah Lake and the beautiful Dooralong and Yarramalong Valleys. Then area has a spectacular array of national parks, forests and natural areas that includes many look-outs for viewing whales migrating along the coast in winter. The neighbouring towns of Chittaway, The Entrance and Long Jetty offer visitors all the boating, sailing and fishing activities available on the tranquil waters of Tuggerah Lake. Local attractions and activities include: # Local Food and Farm products from outlets such as the Cedar Park Lavendar Farm, Yarramalong Macadamia Nut Farm and local wineries with cellar doors # Discovering the history of the early days of the timber industry at the Wyong District Museum and the early settler’s house at Allison Homestead and Woodbury’s Inn Park. # The Wyong Festival of the Arts from February to March. # The remnant rainforest at Olney State Forest # The Lyrebird and Rock Lily walking trails in the Watagan State Forest.
