Lower Hunter Wine Region

The Lower Hunter Wine Region is a magnificent area that includes wineries downstream of Maitland in the Hunter Valley. The Lovedale, Pokolbin, Wollobi, Mount View and Broke Fordwich Regions are recognised as being separate regions on Findawiney.com, although they are part of the Lower Hunter area. The majority of wineries are based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Verdelho, but many vineyards have planted a wide rang of varieties. The region has a wide range of attractions and has excellent facilities for a wide range of activities.
