Harden Wine District

The Harden Wine District is based on the area surrounding the twin townships of Harden and Murrumburrah, located about 180 km from Wollongong, 340 km from Sydney, and about 90 km from Canberra, Wagga Wagga, and Goulburn. The Harden Shire offers relaxing and friendly community, scenic and picturesque countryside, historic villages and many attractions. It has excellent facilities for a wide range of sporting activities, local events and many outlets selling crafts, arts and fresh produce. The area abounds with local Hilltops lamb, beef, eggs, wines, fruit, virgin olive oil, local honey and mustard seed. The area has many small villages each with its own charm and attractions including: Wombat, Cunningar, Kingsvale, Prunevale, Galong, Jugiong, Nubba and Aurville, Cootamundra, Temora, Gundagai, Binalong, Boorowa, Yass and Young - all under an hour away.

The Hilltops Wine Region is home to three districts: Young ; Boorowa ; Harden.
