Happy Valley Wine District

The Happy Valley Wine District includes wineries near Happy Valley, Aberfoyle Park, Claendon, Chandlers Hill and Flagstaff Hill in the McLaren Vale Wine Region. Happy Valley is located 20 km south of the Central Business District of Adelaide and is located nest to the Happy Valley Reservoir which has South Australia's largest water treatment plant, and supplies water to much of the Adelaide metropolitan area. Happy Valley was formerly a rural village but like much of the McLaren Vale Region is being threatened by the encroaching urban developments. Most of the wineries are located between Happy Valley Chandlers Hill and Clarendon. The famous Stone Cottage Restaurant is located in Clarendon. It has been catering for intimate anniversaries, special private dinners and small corporate functions for over 20 years.
