Jamberoo Wine District

The Jamberoo Wine District includes the rural area of Jamberoo, that lies inland from Shellharbour and Kiama, about 130 km south-west of Sydney. Jamberoo is a delightful small town with an interesting history and lots of farm stalls selling local farm produce. The town has a delightful setting being surrounded by emerald dairy pastures enclosed by the dramatic forested cliffs of the Illawarra escarpment. There are some delightful nature reserves in the area including the Barren Grounds Bird Observatory and Nature Reserve, the Minnamurra Rainforest and Budderoo National Park. The townjust a short drive from the surf beaches around Kiama and Shellharbour. Local major local attractions include: # Jamberoo Action Park, an action-packed water based adventure theme park for the whole family. # Enjoy Spectacular views over the rainforest and coastline from the Illawarra Fly which is a magnificent walkway built into the canopy of the rainforest. # Explore the historic churches of Jamberoo and stroll around the Fredericks General Store. # Visit the Jamberoo Arts and Craft Fair, held on the last Sunday of every month and boasting a wonderful range of fresh local produce, art works, wines, preserves, crafts and supported by live entertainment.
